Susana's Approach

Susana has poured decades of knowledge into crafting authentic, gradual curriculums where the steps themselves, inform the process of discovery.

The Infinite Game - Learning Made Fun
Experiencing the steps to music is what motivates. Start students dancing, and they will ask questions that expand and enrich their experience. Questions receive focused answers, are clearly demonstrated and students get lots of music time to repeat the mechanics until they flow. You'll be dancing within your first lesson.

Tango

Tango has had a mythical place in the global imagination since tangomania first hit Paris in the early 1900s. Born in the brothels of Buenos Aires it began as a dance of passion and has evolved into a dance about connection where partners lend themselves to the music with focused attention on each other's movement - like an intense state of listening. When you've danced that way, it's hard not to want more. Beautiful in its simplest movements, tango’s expressive possibility brings opportunities to be creative and musical even at your first lesson.  Whatever it is that initially draws people, in tango they find a unique, creative experience that is not limited by a strict repeating rhythm. Learning to tango will dance beauty into life.

Salsa

Salsa is a high energy dance that is pure joy. Derived from Cuban and Puerto Rican rhythms and propelled by New York's 1950s Mambo craze, Salsa is now a part of our popular culture, predominated worldwide by three main styles: L.A. (Mambo), Cuban (Casino), and Colombian (Cumbia/Swing fusion). Susana's curriculum blends steps from all three, so her students can enjoy dancing with partners of any style. Of the many steps seen at salsa venues, Susana has carefully crafted a progression of exciting combinations that get students dancing and enjoying the music from their first lesson. With practice and consistency, students very soon find themselves dancing their heart out, effortlessly combining patterns with flow and dynamics.

Bachata

Originating from Dominican Republic, Bachata captures the essence of romance and emotion through its rhythmic melodies. Distinct from its faster-paced cousin the Merengue, Bachata is characterized by slower, more sensual tempos. Steps are accessible and easy to learn, enabling dancers to quickly find joy and confidence on the dance floor and making it an inviting dance style for those who are new to partner dancing. The dance has evolved into various popular styles, each adding its unique touch. Focusing on a more traditional form Susana’s curriculum allows a respectful distance while still maintaining the intimate and emotive nature that makes Bachata a beloved choice for dancers worldwide.
